OPPO has unveiled ColorOS 17 and published an official-version upgrade plan on its India website, giving existing phone owners a timetable beyond the beta recruitment that closed earlier this week. The software announcement is dated 13 October.

The distinction matters for readers who followed Dalimss News's ColorOS 17 beta application report. That earlier process invited owners of eight listed phones to test unfinished software. It did not announce a stable release for every OPPO handset. The new plan covers a wider range, although a listed month is not a guaranteed download date.

Which phones are on the plan

The India rollout page places Find X9 Ultra, Find X9s, Find X9 Pro, Find X9, Find X8 Pro and Find X8 in October. Reno16, Reno16 Pro and Reno16c are also listed for that month.

November includes Reno15 Pro, Reno15 Pro Mini, Reno15, Reno14 Pro, Reno14, K14 Plus, K14, K14x, K13x and F35 Pro. December includes Reno13 Pro, Reno13, K13 Turbo Pro, K13 Turbo and K13, alongside listed Pad models. These are selected entries, rather than the complete chart.

F35 appears in the first-quarter 2027 group, later than F35 Pro. That separates the update windows for the pair covered in our F35 series India report. Buyers should check the full model suffix.

OPPO calls the schedule approximate. Timing can change with the model, region and carrier; carrier-exclusive devices follow their carrier's timetable. The order of names within a group does not establish who receives an update first.

New security tools, with availability limits

The launch announcement introduces a Transparency Report showing which AI services were used, when they were accessed and what operations they performed. OPPO says users can view and export it from their device.

AI Call Guard is intended to detect suspicious synthetic voices and face swaps during calls. A release footnote names India, Indonesia and Thailand as its markets. This is a company-described protection feature, not evidence that every fraudulent call will be detected.

OPPO also describes changes to interface animation, resource scheduling and cloud-data security. Its speed improvements come from its own laboratory tests. The announcement says ColorOS 17 will debut on the upcoming Find X10 series before reaching additional devices progressively; it does not establish that every eligible Indian phone already has the update.

What the AI assistant can access

A separate OPPO and Manus announcement explains the planned Agent Mode in AI Mind Pilot. OPPO says it can combine information from files, photographs and online sources to produce outputs such as an itinerary or presentation.

The same release draws a boundary around local work. When the assistant finds, organises or renames files and photographs locally, OPPO says the original material stays on the device and is not shared with Manus. If a task needs external processing, the assistant is supposed to request explicit confirmation before relevant content is uploaded or shared.

Those are the partners' stated safeguards. The announcement reserves further details on supported markets and user benefits for launch, so owners should not assume that every phone receiving ColorOS 17 will receive the same Manus integration immediately.

OPPO's separate India AI guide describes hardware-isolated storage, called Private Computing Space, accessible to trusted apps. It also describes document scanning and translation, a recorder with transcription and summaries, and writing tools. The recorder is described as supporting live transcription and tags for key moments, while the document tool can extract text and convert formats. A separate photo-editing tool accepts a reference image to reproduce its colour and tone. These describe different jobs from an assistant taking actions with personal files.

The guide warns that some tools may arrive through later updates and that hardware, software version and region affect availability. Certain features need an account and internet access. Mind Pilot includes limited free usage; the footnote directs users to sign in to ChatGPT or Manus after reaching the limit and consult the app for details. Photo Agent also carries a limited-free-usage notice, with results dependent on the image and editing request. The published page does not specify a universal free allowance.
