Four Held After Scorpio Attack Near New Colony

GURUGRAM: Four men were taken into custody after a Scorpio allegedly forced a car to stop, smashed its window, and a second clash broke out outside New Colony police station where the complainant had gone to report the first attack, police said.

Gautam, a Madanpuri resident, told police he was driving toward New Colony on Thursday after taking a U-turn near Hari's Bakery when a Scorpio N bearing registration HR26FG5726 overtook him and forced him to halt. Four men got out, tried to open his door, and when that failed smashed the window. Broken glass hit his face. He said he suspected a robbery attempt and believed the men were carrying illegal weapons. A dashcam in his car recorded the sequence, he told officers.

From the roadside to the station gate

Gautam drove away and called friends Ravindra Kataria and Sandeep Dahiya. The three then went to New Colony police station. An emergency response vehicle had separately received information about the incident near Aryan Hospital in Sector 7. When a team reached that spot, the Scorpio was gone. Police later found the SUV parked near Sai Temple at the New Colony turn. Gautam said its occupants had entered a hotel opposite. Officers checked room 105 and found Ajay, Mohit and Piyush Bhardwaj, who had consumed alcohol, and took them into custody. A fourth man, Shivam, was caught while allegedly fighting with Gautam and his friends near the station.

Police said that after Mohit got out of the police vehicle he joined Shivam and allegedly attacked Gautam, Ravindra and Sandeep near the station gate before personnel stepped in. All four accused were sent for medical examination at the Sector 10 government hospital. Ravindra's report recorded five injuries and Sandeep's two. Gautam also alleged that Ravindra's gold chain went missing during the assault and that the accused threatened to kill them if they met again.

An FIR was registered at New Colony police station under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 115(2), 126(2), 324(4), 351(3), 3(5) and 72(C). The case now turns on the dashcam clip, the hotel recovery, and medical notes from both sides of the gate clash.

The registration number on the Scorpio gives investigators a direct vehicle lead that many roadside assaults lack. Matching the hotel room occupants to the men on Gautam's dashcam will be the next evidentiary step, alongside medical records from Sector 10 hospital that document injuries on both the complainant side and the accused. The alleged theft of Ravindra's gold chain and the death threat add robbery and intimidation colours to what began as a forced stop near Hari's Bakery. New Colony police now have to hold together two scenes: the first interception on the road, and the second clash at their own gate after the complainants arrived to file a case.
