Fire Guts Hitachi ATM Booth Near Nathupur Market

GURUGRAM: A Hitachi ATM booth near the Nathupur vegetable market caught fire around 2 pm on Tuesday, sending smoke and flames through the kiosk before a Sector 29 fire tender brought the blaze under control.

The booth falls in the DLF Phase 3 police station area. Local shopkeepers dialled the 112 emergency number. Police and the fire department were informed, and one fire engine from the Sector 29 fire station reached the spot.

Firefighters first shut the electricity supply to the booth as a precaution, then used water sprays to knock down the fire. The ATM machine and other fittings inside the booth were gutted.
