Magic Van Hit-and-Run Kills Security Guard Near Mohansarai

Security guard Brijesh Shukla of Laxmirampur Jamua in Mirzapur was killed on Sunday when a speeding magic van allegedly hit his bicycle from behind near Mohansarai as he rode toward duty in Jagatpur; the driver fled, and police are scanning nearby CCTV, station house officer Raju Singh said.

Shukla was cycling from the Mirzapur side toward his security job in Jagatpur when the collision took place on the Mohansarai stretch heading toward Lahartara. The magic van struck him from behind, police said. He died on the spot. The driver did not stop and left the scene. Family members were informed after the body was taken into police custody.
