Mivi One 5G smartphone launches from Rs 14,999

HYDERABAD / NEW DELHI: Mivi, the Indian consumer brand known for earbuds and speakers, has entered the smartphone market with the Mivi One 5G. The handset goes on Flipkart from midnight on 8 October 2026, with list prices of Rs 14,999 (4GB + 128GB), Rs 15,999 (6GB + 128GB) and Rs 16,999 (8GB + 128GB).

During Flipkart's Big Billion Days window, Mivi is pitching net effective prices from Rs 11,999, Rs 13,499 and Rs 14,999 for those three variants after listed price drops and bank offers. Final cart totals will still depend on which card offer a buyer actually clears.

Co-founder Viswanadh Kandula called the launch a step into a category central to daily life for Indian consumers. Chief Business Officer Himanshu Tandon said the phone was built around everyday use rather than a single headline spec, and pointed to Mivi ClearTalk call processing as a carry-over from the company's audio work.

Specs that define the first Mivi phone

Mivi One 5G runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (4nm), with LPDDR4X RAM options up to 8GB, 128GB UFS 2.2 storage and a microSD slot. The display is a 6.745-inch HD+ LCD at 90Hz. Cameras are listed as a 50MP primary with an auxiliary rear lens and an 8MP front camera. Battery capacity is 6,000mAh with 18W PD 2.0 charging.

Software is Pure Android 16 at launch, with updates promised through Android 18 and no third-party bloatware in Mivi's framing. Other hardware notes include a side fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm jack, IP64 rating, USB-C, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. Colours listed are Blue, Pink, Green, Burgundy and Navy Blue. The body is described as 9.15mm thick and about 210g.

Saurabh Arora of Qualcomm India welcomed a homegrown brand using Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 for everyday 5G performance in the accessible segment. Mivi quotes an approximate AnTuTu score near 490,000; synthetic scores vary by test build and should not be treated as a shopping guarantee.

Service pitch and what buyers should watch

Mivi says the phone is manufactured in India and backed by more than 500 service centres, free pick-and-drop across a wide pin-code set, a one-year warranty and a seven-day "replaced, not repaired" promise through Mivi Care+. Those service claims will be tested once volumes ship.

Jio-linked promotional bundles mentioned in the release include limited Canva, Hotstar, Gemini and cloud storage offers for eligible numbers. Bundles change quickly; check the checkout page on sale day.

Mivi also stated an ambition to design a more deeply indigenous smartphone within about 12 months. That is a future roadmap note, not a specification of the One 5G itself.
