NEW DELHI: The MG Windsor EV costs Rs 14,84,800 to Rs 19,14,800 ex-showroom across five variants, or from Rs 9.99 lakh plus Rs 3.99 per km under the company's Battery as a Service plan, according to JSW MG Motor India's official Windsor EV page. All figures are starting prices, price as of 9 October 2026, 7:05 AM IST.
The Windsor is sold with an optional BaaS plan, which lowers the upfront price by taking the battery cost out and charging for it per kilometre. With Diwali on 8 November, here is the full variant-wise price list under both plans, what the long-range Pro versions add, and what buyers should check before choosing.
MG Windsor EV prices: outright purchase
MG lists the following ex-showroom starting prices when the car is bought with the battery: Excite at Rs 14,84,800, Exclusive at Rs 16,14,800, Essence at Rs 17,14,800, Exclusive Pro at Rs 18,04,800 and Essence Pro at Rs 19,14,800.
The page's FAQ separately gives the standard Windsor's range as Rs 14,84,800 to Rs 17,14,800, which matches the three non-Pro variant cards. The two Pro variants sit above that band.
Windsor EV prices under BaaS
Under MG's BaaS plan, the variant cards list these figures: Excite at Rs 9.99 lakh plus Rs 3.99 per km, Exclusive at Rs 11.29 lakh plus Rs 3.99 per km and Essence at Rs 12.29 lakh plus Rs 3.99 per km. The Pro variants carry a higher per-km rate: Exclusive Pro at Rs 12.89 lakh plus Rs 4.50 per km and Essence Pro at Rs 13.99 lakh plus Rs 4.50 per km.
MG describes BaaS as a way to buy the car at a lower upfront cost, excluding the battery, and pay for the battery on a pay-per-usage basis. The per-km charge is in addition to electricity costs. Buyers should read the scheme's terms, including any minimum monthly usage and the tenure, before comparing it with an outright purchase. Our explainer on Battery as a Service prices in India sets out how such plans are structured across brands.
Battery, range and the Pro variants
According to MG's FAQ, the Windsor EV is offered with two battery options, 38 kWh and 52.9 kWh. The Exclusive Pro and Essence Pro cards list the 52.9 kWh prismatic battery and a claimed range of 449 km on a single charge, marked with an asterisk as a test figure. Real-world range will be lower and depends on speed, load and air-conditioning use.
The Pro cards also list a dual-tone ivory interior, a nine-speaker Infinity audio system and R18 dual-tone machined alloy wheels, and the FAQ mentions a 7.4 kW AC fast charger with the Pro. The Essence Pro card adds Level 2 ADAS, vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability and a powered tailgate.
MG's FAQ states that the battery warranty is lifetime for the first owner. As with any such offer, buyers should check the written warranty terms, including what happens on resale.
What each variant offers
The base Excite gets six airbags as standard, the company's Aero-Lounge seats that recline up to 135 degrees, a 25.6 cm (10.1-inch) touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electronic stability programme and an electric parking brake, according to its variant card.
The Exclusive steps up to a 39.6 cm (15.6-inch) GrandView touchscreen, more than 80 connected features, R18 diamond-cut alloys, a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, a 360-degree camera and flush door handles. The Essence adds the Infinity View glass roof, nine-speaker Infinity audio, 256-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats and a PM2.5 filter.
What buyers should check
MG is also adding electrified models above the Windsor, such as the plug-in hybrid covered in our report on the Hector Tomahawk PHEV and its November deliveries. For the Windsor, the key decision is between outright purchase and BaaS, which depends on how far you drive each month.
Ask the dealer for an itemised on-road quote under both plans, the battery size quoted, the home charger cost and the expected delivery date. Prices on MG's website can change without notice, and the figures here are as seen on 9 October 2026.
