MCC posts provisional NEET UG Round 3 allotment; raise discrepancies by 10 am on 1 October

The Medical Counselling Committee under the Directorate General of Health Services has released the provisional seat allotment for Round 3 of NEET UG counselling for the 2026 session. Notice No. 25 dated 30 September 2026 says the provisional list is now on the MCC portal and that candidates should check their result carefully before the grievance window closes.
Any discrepancy must be brought to MCC through the Candidates Grievances and Query Redressal System on the Candidate Login Portal latest by 10:00 AM on 1 October 2026. After that cut-off, the provisional list moves toward finalisation. The notice is clear that the present allotment is only indicative and can still change.
What the provisional list does and does not do
MCC has stated that candidates cannot claim a right over a seat shown in the provisional result, and that this provisional list cannot be challenged in court. The practical instruction is simple: do not report to a college on the strength of the provisional PDF alone. Approach the allotted college only after the Final Result is declared.
The accompanying Provisional Result for Round 3 covers All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats and related MCC-managed quotas. The sheet also reflects allotments linked to central university seats, including the Institute of Medical Sciences at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, alongside other AIQ colleges such as the AIIMS network and state medical colleges that participate in the MCC process.
Round 3 is often the stage where vacant, resigned and newly added seats reshuffle the board for candidates who stayed in the process after Rounds 1 and 2. That is why MCC separates a provisional PDF from the Final Result: clerks and software checks still need a short, fixed window to catch mismatches before colleges start taking physical reporting.
How candidates should use the grievance window
MCC has not asked candidates to email arbitrary complaints. Discrepancies have to go through the online grievance and query system tied to the candidate login. That keeps the query linked to the registered application and reduces duplicate complaints.
Students who find a wrong category, college code, or status should screenshot their portal view, note the exact field that looks wrong, and file the grievance before 10 am on Wednesday, 1 October. Waiting until the Final Result is out leaves little room to correct a clerical error that was visible on 30 September.
Parents helping with the form should use the same candidate login rather than creating parallel email threads. MCC processes portal grievances against the application ID; informal messages that never enter the redressal system do not stop the clock at 10 am.
What comes after Final Result day
Once MCC replaces the provisional list with the Final Result, allotted candidates follow the usual reporting and document checklist for Round 3. Those who floated or froze seats in earlier rounds should re-read their Round 3 status carefully, because a fresh allotment can change the college they must join.
Students watching Varanasi AIQ options should check the IMS BHU lines in the final PDF rather than treat a provisional entry as confirmed admission. The same caution applies to every other college code on the sheet. Carry NEET documents, category certificates and the Round 3 allotment letter only after MCC marks the result as final.
For the authoritative text of today's instruction, rely on Notice No. 25 and the provisional result file posted under Current Events on mcc.nic.in. Informal forwards that skip the 10 am grievance deadline leave candidates with no remedy once the provisional list hardens.
