Manduadih Fan Warehouse Fire Burns for Hours; No Deaths Reported

A fire that broke out around 3:30 am on Monday at a fan manufacturing warehouse in Marhauli under Manduadih police station burned for more than ten hours as firefighters fought stock that included table fans, paint, flammable chemicals and packing material. Chief Fire Officer Anand Singh Rajput said everyone inside was rescued and that a detailed probe will fix the cause and the loss figure. No death was reported.

The fire service received the alert around 4:15 am. Tenders rushed from Chetganj, Bhelupur and other stations. More than eight tenders and about fifty firefighters worked into the evening. Company staff and a watchman had noticed the blaze and called Manduadih police and the fire department. Power supply to the pocket was cut as a precaution, and people in neighbouring buildings were asked to move out while teams stayed until the flames were fully controlled.

Paint, chemicals and cartons made the warehouse hard to cool. Thick black smoke drifted across the Marhauli crossing belt. At a nearby hospital, wards filled with the smell and haze of the smoke; patients on upper floors were shifted toward the ground floor and some attendants moved the sick outdoors until the air cleared. Chandpur-Rohania traffic jammed as onlookers and fire vehicles shared one lane until Manduadih police cleared the road.

Fire station officer Vinod Pandey said the factory held a fire NOC and met listed safety standards on paper, but chemicals, cartons and equipment inside fed the blaze. Even after roughly 95 percent control, flare-ups continued past 10 pm. A committee has been formed for inquiry. Manduadih station house officer Digambar Upadhyay said the fire brigade will lead the cause investigation. Short circuit in wiring is suspected in early accounts, but the CFO stressed that only the detailed probe should be treated as conclusive.

Industrial godowns that store fans, thinner and copper wire sit close to clinics and homes in this Manduadih fringe. Monday's smoke crossing into hospital wards is the part residents will remember alongside the burnt warehouse. For the fire service, a ten-hour job with eight-plus tenders is a major urban call even when the human toll stops at smoke exposure and evacuation stress.

Until the inquiry committee reports, the public facts are the early Monday start, the Marhauli warehouse under Manduadih, the long firefight, the rescue of those inside, neighbouring evacuations, hospital smoke disruption, and no reported deaths. Cause and insured loss remain open.

Residents within about fifty metres of the shed described a morning of thick smoke, tanker relays from nearby industrial taps, and fear that a chemical stock fire could jump. Firefighters kept recharging from Chandpur and Marhauli sources until the warehouse cooled enough to hand back to investigators.
