Lightning Kills Three as Storm Hits Sonbhadra and Mirzapur

Varanasi, June 29, 2026: Three people were reportedly killed in separate lightning strikes as thunderstorms and heavy rain hit Sonbhadra and Mirzapur districts in Purvanchal.

The storm also uprooted trees and electric poles, disrupted power supply and caused property damage in parts of the region, according to reports.
