Police Raze Illegal Structure of Gangster Aide

GURUGRAM: Police on Friday demolished an illegal structure in Naharpur Rupa linked to Krishan, a 31-year-old offender described as a close aide of jailed gangster Kaushal Chaudhary, three days after Chaudhary's own house in the same belt was razed.

The Crime Branch unit based in Sector 39 carried out the demolition with other departments present. Officers said the illegal construction was identified on intelligence inputs. The structure was brought down completely and the land cleared and restored to its original condition. Law and order was maintained through the operation, police said. The sequencing matters: Tuesday's action against Chaudhary's house and Friday's action against Krishan's structure sit inside the same Naharpur Rupa pocket, not as one-off bulldozer theatre in unrelated colonies.

Criminal record and the wider drive

Krishan faces more than 11 criminal cases in Gurugram and has been convicted in three of them, according to police. The convictions include a murder case registered at Badshahpur police station in 2019, an Arms Act case at Rajendra Park police station linked to assault on a public servant the same year, and an attempted murder and Arms Act case at Sadar police station. On 6 July 2025, a Sector 39 crime branch team arrested him from Naharpur Rupa in an Arms Act case registered at Sadar police station and recovered two country-made pistols.

Police spokesperson Sandeep Turan said the force would continue action against land mafias, habitual offenders and illegal construction networks linked to them. Friday's demolition sits inside a wider crackdown on properties allegedly tied to organised crime. On Tuesday, while clearing encroachment from government land in Naharpur Rupa, police demolished the house of Kaushal Chaudhary, who is named in cases including the August 2021 murder of Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Middukhera in Mohali and has been linked in investigations to wider gang rivalries.

For residents of Naharpur Rupa, the two demolitions in three days mark a visible push against illegal builds tied to named offenders rather than a routine building-byelaw drive. Police have framed both actions as intelligence-led and coordinated with civic departments, not as standalone police bulldozer shows. Krishan's cases remain on the criminal side of the ledger; Friday's work was about clearing an illegal structure and restoring the plot, with Turan's line signalling more such checks against habitual offenders' construction networks.

Village lanes that mixed legal homes with disputed extensions have seen similar joint action before, but the Chaudhary-Krishan pairing gives this week a clearer organised-crime frame. Whether more plots on the same intelligence list are queued for next week is a question only the Crime Branch can answer. For now, the public record is two cleared sites in Naharpur Rupa and a police warning that land-mafia linked builds will keep drawing coordinated demolition teams.
