Khelo India Samvad Live Today at Kashi Vidyapith and Dhirendra College

National Sports Day programmes are on in Varanasi today, Thursday 27 August 2026, at two named campuses: Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith and Dhirendra Mahila PG College. Both halls are screening Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual address for ‘Khelo India Samvad — Khel Ki Baat, Pradhan Mantri Ke Saath’, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports event built around the day.
The news today is the live telecast at those two sites, with a local Yuva Samvad scheduled to follow the Prime Minister’s address in each hall. Vikas Singh, deputy director of Mera Yuva Bharat in Varanasi, has described that second half. Public representatives and local sports talent are listed to join the youth dialogue after the address. The themes he named are the sports ecosystem, preparation of talent toward the 2036 Olympics, youth leadership and participation in governance, and the role of young people in a developed India. Suggestions collected in the dialogue are to be compiled through the designated process and sent on.
Participants are being asked to register on the MY Bharat portal. A QR code for the MY Bharat suggestions box is the digital intake on site. Information on the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 Quiz is also to be shared during the programme. Those three items — portal registration, suggestions QR, 2027 quiz — are the practical takeaways Singh’s briefing attached to the Varanasi sittings.
National Sports Day marks Major Dhyan Chand’s birth anniversary. The ministry’s Samvad format uses that date to put a sports-and-youth conversation into district venues rather than into a single capital-stage show. Varanasi’s two listed halls are the local cut of that network. Singh has called the Samvad a platform to connect youth with India’s sporting record, with future openings, and with their own role in that sector, and has urged students in the city to turn up and put ideas on sports, fitness and a developed India into the process.
The women’s-college venue is part of the named pair, not a side event. Dhirendra Mahila PG College screens the same address and then runs the same local dialogue format Singh described. MGKVP supplies the university hall. No turnstile count or guest-of-honour speech list was published with the briefing. What is firm is the date, the two campuses, the live Prime Minister address, and the Yuva Samvad that follows.
Local sports talent on the programme are there to interact with students after the telecast, according to Singh, while public representatives are listed to speak on sports and youth development. That is the on-record order: screen first, local conversation second. Ideas that come out of the room are meant to move through the MY Bharat suggestions box rather than to stay as hall applause.
For students on either campus today, the checklist from the MY Bharat desk is short. Watch the address. Stay for the Yuva Samvad. Register on the portal if they have not. Use the QR if they have a suggestion. Note the 2027 quiz when it is shared.
Khelo India Samvad is on at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith and Dhirendra Mahila PG College this National Sports Day, with the Prime Minister’s address on the screen and the MY Bharat Yuva Samvad, suggestions QR and 2027 quiz as the follow-through the deputy director named.
