Kerala opens fresh MBBS and BDS option registration for third phase allotment till 7 October

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, has opened fresh online option registration for the third phase of State Quota allotment to MBBS and BDS courses for 2026-27. The website for options went live on 28 September 2026. Candidates can register options until 7 October 2026 at 10:00 am.

Notification CEE/404/2026-TA4 sets the timetable. Eligible candidates who figure in the medical rank lists published by CEE must use www.cee.kerala.gov.in. On the basis of options locked by the 7 October morning deadline, CEE will publish a provisional allotment on 8 October 2026 and the final allotment on 9 October 2026.

Fresh options are mandatory to be considered

CEE says fresh online option registration for MBBS and BDS is compulsory in this phase for candidates who want to be considered now. That includes those who already got an allotment or admission in earlier phases and those who got no allotment earlier.

There is a retention rule. Candidates who secured an allotment or admission in a previous phase and who do not register options for this phase will keep that earlier admission. Unallotted category seats can be converted in this phase under the prospectus.

Joining window and the cost of not joining

Joining at colleges runs from 10 October 2026 to 14 October 2026 at 4:00 pm. By 5:00 pm on 14 October, college authorities must approve and submit the admitted list through OAMS.

Anyone allotted in this phase who fails to join by the prescribed date will lose both the last-phase allotment and the current-phase allotment, and will also lose all options in the stream of that allotment. That is a hard consequence written into the notice.

Registration fee of Rs 5,000

Candidates who register options afresh, and those who got an earlier allotment but did not take admission or who took a transfer certificate after joining, must remit Rs 5,000 to CEE. If the candidate later gets a government medical or dental college seat, that fee is carried over to tuition. If there is no allotment, the fee is refunded. For private self-financing medical or dental allotments, the fee is refunded after admissions close if the candidate has taken admission. What rank-list candidates should do this week

Log in on cee.kerala.gov.in, confirm eligibility against the published medical rank lists, and complete fresh MBBS/BDS options well before 7 October 10:00 am. Do not assume that an older option set from phase one or two will carry forward automatically if you want a fresh chance. Keep fee payment receipts and OAMS joining instructions ready for the 10 to 14 October reporting window.

Parents and candidates should rely on the CEE notification and the KEAM prospectus rather than on informal forwards. The third phase is the last major State Quota reshuffle for MBBS and BDS before seats harden for the year.
