JioBharat's anniversary offer pairs eligible new feature phones with six free recharge cycles, but the ₹1,499 B2 handset price is not the full initial cost. Jio's official FAQs require a separate ₹123 qualifying recharge. For the checked Black JioBharat B2, that makes the handset-plus-recharge outlay ₹1,622.
The campaign runs from 15 September to 20 October 2026 and covers JioBharat A1, B1, B2 and B3. Both purchase and first activation of an eligible device must fall within the offer period. This is an explanation of an active campaign's conditions, rather than a new launch or a claim that online stock is available.
Stock is an immediate limitation. The matching Reliance Digital B2 listing, item 581107385, was ₹1,499 including taxes, price as of 13 October 2026, 06:03 IST. It named Reliance Retail Ltd as seller but showed the phone unavailable online for test postcode 110001 in Central Delhi. A notification option and store locator were present; local-store inventory was not verified.
What the first payment must include
Jio's JioBharat page and expanded anniversary FAQs specify the ₹123 recharge for an existing Jio user, a new SIM activation or a port-in. A higher-value plan on its own does not trigger the offer. An existing active plan also does not remove the requirement to make that qualifying recharge.
The ₹1,622 calculation applies to the checked B2 price only: ₹1,499 plus ₹123. It should not be used as a uniform buying price for A1, B1 and B3, whose handset prices have not been established here. Nor has any value been deducted for future free service to turn the handset into an artificially lower-priced purchase.
The offer terms set the purchase-and-activation window from 00:01 on 15 September to 23:59 on 20 October, subject to amendment or withdrawal. Ordering a phone is not the same as first activating it. Where a seller has to deliver the device, the buyer needs to account for activation within the stated window rather than rely only on an order date.
Six cycles means 168 days of free validity
The free service consists of six consecutive 28-day cycles, adding up to 168 days. Each cycle includes 0.5GB of data per day, unlimited domestic voice calling and 300 domestic SMS. That daily data allowance amounts to 14GB over one complete cycle, but it is not a freely usable 14GB balance available on the first day.
Across six cycles, the daily quotas add up to 84GB. The offer does not turn that arithmetic total into a pooled balance that can be spent whenever the user wants. Unused benefits do not roll over. Calling the bundle six calendar months would also obscure the actual 28-day structure.
For someone with no existing active plan ahead of it, the mandatory paid recharge runs before the free cycles begin. If a Jio user already has a valid plan, the current plan keeps its remaining validity. The required ₹123 recharge and the six free cycles are queued behind it, according to the official FAQs.
That distinction is particularly relevant to an annual-plan customer. Their free benefits may start much later, after the annual plan and qualifying ₹123 recharge expire. A purchase during the offer period therefore does not necessarily mean the free-service countdown starts immediately. The user's own plan queue determines the sequence.
Further recharges made while the free cycles are running go into the queue after those cycles. This helps explain why another payment need not replace the active free cycle, but it is not a reason to make an unnecessary recharge. The account's benefit status and operator messages should show what is active and what is waiting.
The phone and number must stay paired
The offer is attached to a unique handset IMEI and mobile-number pairing and is available once for that combination. The same SIM must stay in the same eligible phone during the benefit period. Moving it to another handset or voluntarily upgrading the phone does not transfer the remaining free cycles.
There are authorised replacement exceptions. A warranty handset replacement can retain remaining benefits after Jio's approval and backend IMEI remapping. Replacing a lost or damaged SIM requires the approved process and verification while retaining the same number. An ordinary device switch should not be assumed to receive either exception automatically.
Jio's FAQ says powering off the phone does not itself remove the benefit if the original SIM remains in the original handset. The offer still cannot be resold, transferred or converted to cash, and its free-service period does not extend the manufacturer's warranty. These conditions matter if the phone is intended as a secondary or occasionally used connection.
Know what the B2 can and cannot replace
The checked B2 is a Jio-locked 4G feature phone with one nano-SIM slot, not an unlocked Android or 5G smartphone. Its listing specifies ThreadX software, a 2,000mAh battery, microSD expansion up to 128GB and a 3.5mm audio jack. Network coverage and service conditions still apply to using the bundled benefits.
A feature-phone purchase should therefore be separated from a comparison of entry-level smartphones. Dalimss News' budget 4G smartphone comparison covers a different device category. The anniversary offer's eligible-model list is the appropriate starting point for this bundle, not every phone sold under a Jio-related service.
Jio says benefit notifications arrive by SMS. If credit or pairing status needs checking, its published help routes are 199, 1800-889-9999 or a Jio Store. For a separate check of mobile connections registered in one's name, Dalimss News has a Hindi guide to Sanchar Saathi. Neither a government SIM check nor a retailer's stock notification activates this anniversary offer.
