Union Health Minister J P Nadda shared the seat data in Parliament while responding to a question on postgraduate medical education. The count includes seats approved by the National Medical Commission and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. Karnataka leads the country with 10,092 postgraduate medical seats, followed by Maharashtra with 9,216 and Tamil Nadu with 8,023.
