Police Wound Chain-Snatch Accused After Hariharpur Firing, Shivpur Says

Shivpur police wounded a chain-snatch accused after he opened fire on a team near Hariharpur chauraha late Thursday night, the station said, and listed recovery of a stolen gold chain, an illegal firearm, a spent cartridge and a Pulsar they tied to a 24 August loot in Baralalpur. No policeman was injured, Shivpur station house officer Ajit Kumar Verma said.

The incident, on the police account, was around 11 pm on Thursday, 27 August 2026, near Hariharpur chauraha under Shivpur police station. Police identified the wounded man as Shashi Bhushan, son of Lakshmi Narayan, of Tar Bangla Bijli Colony under Dehri police station in Rohtas district, Bihar.
