GURUGRAM: Three community pujas in Gurugram have published their Durga Puja 2026 programmes: the Gurgaon Bengalee Association (GBA) at the HUDA Community Center in Sector 9, the Dakshin Gurgaon Puja Committee (DGPC) at Nirvana Country in Sector 50, and Utsav at the Sector 45 Community Centre. This guide sets out what each organiser says about dates, ritual timings, entry and bhog, as read on 9 October 2026. The organisers say their dates and timings are subject to final confirmation, so check their pages again before you go.

GBA, which describes itself as the organiser of Gurugram's oldest Durga Puja, holds its celebration from Thursday, 15 October to Wednesday, 21 October at the HUDA Community Center, Sector 9. It marks 45 years of the puja in 2026, counting from 1982. The association says the pandal will stay open day and night, 24 hours, from Maha Panchami to Vijaya Dashami.

On the visitor page, GBA says entry is free, bhog is free for everyone with no membership needed, and parking is available at the venue for all visitors. The FAQ says no advance registration is required and that cultural programmes are open to all, with no seating reserved for members. Bhog serving times, it adds, will be announced closer to the festival, so an afternoon visit should not be planned around a meal.

The GBA schedule opens on 15 October at 7 pm with an Ananda Mela food fiesta. Maha Shashthi on Friday, 16 October has morning puja and pushpanjali at approximate times, Bodhon and Sandhya Arati at 6:30 pm, and an inauguration and cultural evening. On the days of Maha Saptami, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, morning puja runs from 8 am to 11:30 am, with Sandhya Arati at 7 pm and live music and recitals through the evening.

The key ritual comes on Maha Ashtami, Monday, 19 October. GBA lists Sandhi Puja from 10:28 am to 11:16 am, with morning puja from 7 am to 10 am and a musical evening after Sandhya Arati at 7 pm. On Maha Navami, Tuesday, 20 October, morning puja runs from 8 am to 10:30 am, with a havan at 11 am. On Vijaya Dashami, Wednesday, 21 October, it lists Maa Durga Boron from 9:30 am, Sindoor Khela from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and immersion from 3 pm to 5 pm, a slot that it says may differ as per the time given by the joint puja committee.

GBA states that pushpanjali timings are approximate and may change with the puja rituals, and that its timings follow the Bisuddha Siddhanta Panjika. That is typical for community pujas. The point to take from it is that the exact minute of a ritual can move, so arrive a little early for anything you want to see, especially Sandhi Puja.

DGPC in Sector 50 and Utsav in Sector 45

DGPC is holding its 23rd Durga Puja from Friday, 16 October to Wednesday, 21 October at the Unitech Nirvana Patio Club, Nirvana Country, Sector 50. The committee's page gives a day-by-day nirghanta, or ritual timetable, and gives this year's theme as "Debir Ghatoke Agomon and Noukay Gaman".

On the DGPC page, pushpanjali is at 11:30 am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 16 to 18 October. On Monday, 19 October, it is from 8 am to 9 am, followed by Sandhi Puja from 10:28 am to 11:16 am. On Tuesday, 20 October, pushpanjali is at 11 am. Evening Sandhyarati is at 7 pm on the first day and 6:30 pm from 17 to 20 October. On Wednesday, 21 October, Protima Baran is at 9:30 am and Protima Bidai at 11:30 am.

The DGPC page is a ritual timetable and does not state the terms for visitor entry, bhog or parking. Anyone who is not a member of the club or a resident of Nirvana Country should check the committee's contact details before travelling. The committee also lists later pujas on its page, Shyama (Kali) Pujo on 8 November and Saraswati Pujo on 11 February 2027.

Utsav, run by the Utsav Socio-Cultural Trust, holds its Durgotsav from Thursday, 15 October to Wednesday, 21 October at the Sector 45 Community Centre. The trust describes itself as a non-profit and says it has organised the puja since 2023. It lists musical performances, dance dramas and puppet theatre, a dhunuchi naach contest, a conch-shell-blowing contest, a handicraft showcase, a food court with Kolkata street food and games for children and adults on all seven days.

The Utsav site also says its puja is Delhi NCR's first pet-friendly event, with pets welcome during designated hours. The hours are not stated on the page, so ask the trust if you plan to bring a pet. Its ritual outline for the days covers Shashthi, Saptami, Ashtami with Sandhi Puja, Navami with homa and the dhunuchi contest, and Dashami with Sindoor Khela and Devi Boron. It does not publish clock times for these.

Because the three organisers are in different parts of the city, plan one visit around the rituals you most want to see. Monday, 19 October is the day all three list Sandhi Puja, so decide early which one you want to attend. For evening travel without a car, see our Rapid Metro evening plan.

Some basics apply anywhere. Remove your footwear where signs ask, use the footwear counter if one is provided, and follow volunteers' directions near the idol and the bhog queues. GBA's FAQ says photography is generally allowed and asks visitors to avoid flash during aarti. Ask before photographing people closely, and before joining Sindoor Khela. Those who need step-free access or accessible toilets should ask the organisers, as none of the three pages describes them.

Gurugram also has temples and heritage sites that draw visitors during Navratri. For other places to visit in the city, see the Haryana Tourism list of heritage places in Gurugram.
