Three Held With Pistol and Revolver in City

GURUGRAM: The Crime Branch Sector 40 team has arrested three men for allegedly possessing and supplying illegal weapons, recovering a country-made pistol, a revolver, five cartridges and a vehicle, police said.

A case was registered at Sector 40 police station on the team's complaint. The accused have been identified as Rahul, a resident of Balsamand village in Hisar, Vikram of Guleri village, and Ashok alias Shauki of Siswal village. Rahul and Vikram were arrested from Sector 45, while Ashok was arrested from Sector 34. Police said the pistol, revolver and cartridges were recovered from Rahul and Vikram.

During questioning, investigators said the men disclosed that Ashok had allegedly supplied the weapons for Rs 90,000. The recoveries and the supply allegation form the core of the Sector 40 FIR. Police have treated the matter as an Arms Act and illegal supply case based on the seizure and the statements recorded so far.

Prior cases and supply chain claim

Police said Vikram already had one Gurugram case registered against him for assault and criminal intimidation. Ashok had one Gurugram case of assault and intimidation, and six cases in Hisar involving assault, criminal intimidation, attempt to murder and Arms Act provisions, according to the criminal record cited by investigators.

The arrests span Sectors 34 and 45, with the FIR lodged at Sector 40, showing how Crime Branch teams are working across beat boundaries on arms recoveries. The Rs 90,000 supply figure, if sustained in investigation, points to a paid hand-off rather than a chance find of a single weapon. That is why the third arrest, Ashok from Sector 34, matters as much as the seizure from Rahul and Vikram.

Illegal pistols and revolvers remain a recurring Crime Branch target in the city because even a small recovery can link to earlier assault or intimidation cases. Here, the prior Hisar and Gurugram records attributed to Ashok and Vikram will be checked against the new FIR. Courts will later test the seizure memo, the supply allegation and the chain of custody. For now, police say three men are in custody with a pistol, a revolver, five cartridges and a vehicle taken into possession.

Crime Branch officers said further questioning would focus on where the country-made pistol and revolver originated and whether more buyers or suppliers remain outside the three arrests. The Sector 40 FIR gives investigators a custody window to test those leads against the Rs 90,000 supply claim and the prior Hisar Arms Act history attributed to Ashok.
