CHRIST (Deemed to be University) opened applications for its 2027 NRI and international selection round on October 15. The university's first-round calendar sets November 25 as the application deadline for entrance-test programmes and December 6 for programmes without an entrance test.

The online entrance test is scheduled for December 5, 2026, with its admit card due on December 3. Skill assessment, micro-presentation and personal interviews for entrance-test programmes run from December 11 to 13; the non-test programme window is December 11 to 12, following admit cards on December 9. For programmes with an audition, the notice specifies Bangalore Central campus only. The final selection list is scheduled for December 21. These are the university's announced dates, with individual timings to be read from the candidate's admit card.

December interviews at Gulf venues

The published venue sheet identifies five Gulf locations for the in-person selection process. They are GEMS Modern Academy in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai; New Horizon School in Zinj, Manama, Bahrain; Rajagiri Public School in Abu Hamour, Doha; Carmel School in South Khaitan, Kuwait; and Pioneer Institute of Management and Technology in Ghala, Muscat. The Muscat address specifies Al-Nahda Tower-2, first floor, offices 8, 9 and 10. Applicants travelling to these centres should use the official sheet for the full address.

Category choice also affects fees. The current NRI guidance linked from the university's programme pages includes applicants covered by the Indian income-tax definition of NRI, those with either parent abroad on a work or residence permit except in Nepal, Indian citizens funded by an overseas institution or agency, and Indian citizens who completed their qualifying studies abroad. It says the NRI fee applies throughout the programme for candidates completing their qualifying examination outside India or applying in the NRI category. Admission still depends on academic achievement and the university's selection process.

Documents and checks before payment

The 2027 application instructions require clear academic records. Undergraduate applicants upload Class 10 and Class 11 final records or the Class 12 board result. Postgraduate applicants need Class 10, Class 12 and undergraduate records, plus work-experience evidence where their programme requires it; final-year students use marks available up to the previous semester or year. The photograph must have a white background, show formal dress, measure 3.5 by 4.5 cm and be no larger than 100 KB. Missing or unreadable mandatory documents can lead to rejection. Applicants should preview entries before submitting because corrections are not allowed afterwards.

Preparing for the online test involves more than choosing a date. The selection instructions require a functioning camera and microphone, stable internet and power backup, with a mock test for checking system compatibility. Test links will be sent to the registered email address and appear in the admit card. Where several applications have an entrance test at the same date and time, one test score is used for the relevant programmes. Tests scheduled separately must each be taken. Skill assessment, micro-presentation and interview requirements remain separate for every application.

International applicants have a separate category check. The university's international admissions guidance places foreign passport holders, PIO card holders and OCI card holders in the International Student Category. It also warns about unauthorised messages promising or confirming admission and directs applicants to verify them with its admissions office. Campus preference is another point to check before committing: the university's published selection disclaimer reserves campus and programme allocation to its management, taking account of academic and operational requirements and available resources. A stated preference therefore should not be treated as an assured allocation.

Successful applicants must complete fee payment and admission formalities within five working days, or the period specified in their offer card. For selected NRI candidates, the university says the facility to choose an admission appointment will become available from the end of March 2027; downloading the offer card is mandatory. The application registration fee becomes non-refundable once an application number is generated, so review the course and category before paying.
