Thursday, 27 August, is day one of document verification and admission for Bihar’s UGMAC-2026 Round 1. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board uploaded the Round-1 provisional allotment on 25 August and, in Adv. No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/03 the same day, stretched the joining window to 31 August after the Medical Counselling Committee extended its calendar.

Allotment-order download runs from 25 August to 31 August. Physical document verification and admission run 27–31 August. Round-2 dates, the 25 August notice says, will be given “in due time.” The rest of Adv. No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/01 dated 7 August 2026 still stands.

The counselling covers first-year MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. in government medical, dental, veterinary and fisheries colleges and in private medical and dental colleges of Bihar, on NEET (UG) 2026 merit. Login is through the UGMAC-2026 online portal linked from bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Helpdesk: helpdesk.bceceboard@bihar.gov.in.

Freeze, float and free-exit

Round-1 allotted candidates have a free-exit option. Anyone who does not want the Round-1 seat can exit without forfeiture of the security deposit and remains eligible for Round 2.

A Freeze candidate is one who will take the allotted seat and does not want upgradation. Freeze candidates must visit the allotted institute — the name printed on the provisional seat allotment order — within 27–31 August with all original documents that were uploaded when the order was downloaded. If document verification and admission are not completed in that window, the seat is cancelled.

A Float candidate wants upgradation in the next round. Float candidates need not visit the college physically in Round 1. The allotted institute does online document verification on the scanned copies. Resignation or surrender of a Round-1 float seat is online, through the portal, without a campus visit.

Before Freeze or Float is submitted, the candidate must upload clear scanned PDFs of the original required documents on the counselling portal for online verification by the allotted institute, then download the provisional allotment order. Blurred, incorrect, mismatched, missing or corrupted files trigger an SMS or email; the candidate must re-upload within the scheduled period or the seat can be cancelled.

What to take to the college

The 7 August advertisement lists, among other items, the NEET (UG) 2026 admit card and score card, UGMAC-2026 rank card, Class 10 and 12 certificates and marksheets, residential certificate, caste or EWS certificate where claimed, DQ / NRI / minority / ward-quota certificates where claimed, the UGMAC confirmation page, six passport photographs matching the NEET admit card, Aadhaar, and the check slip with biometric identification report. The Board has posted a separate Check Slip & Biometric Form PDF on its download section. DQ candidates must produce the UDID card, affidavit and nodal-centre DQ certificate together.

Private-college fees are on the Board site and on college sites. The Board says it takes no responsibility for private fee structures. An interim order of the Patna High Court dated 17 November 2025 in CWJC No. 12651/2025, recalled in Adv. 2026/01, leaves private-institution fees applicable subject to the final court order.

Do not wait for a Round-2 date on this notice

Candidates who got no seat in Round 1 wait for Round 2 and may edit previous choices. Those who skip document verification this week on a Freeze seat lose that seat. This process is UGMAC medical and allied veterinary/fisheries counselling, not Jharkhand JCECEB NEET and not the Board’s separate BCECE engineering and agriculture mop-up.

As of 27 August 2026, day one of joining, the operational calendar is the one in Adv. 2026/03: allotment order through 31 August, document verification and admission through 31 August.
