The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board has invited online registration and application-cum-choice filling for Round 3 of Post Graduate Dental Admission Counselling (PGDAC) 2026. A short notice dated 2 October 2026 (Advt. No. BCECEB(PGDAC)-2026/05) says the Round 3 window starts on 5 October 2026.
The detailed advertisement (Advt. No. 2026/04, also dated 2 October) sets seat matrix posting on 3 October, registration from 5 October, last date for online registration at 10:00 pm on 11 October, and last date for application-cum-choice filling with payment at 11:59 pm on 11 October. Consent and choice edits for candidates who already submitted forms earlier also run from 5 to 11 October.
Round 3 covers vacant MDS seats after Round 2 admissions held on 29 and 30 September 2026. Colleges listed include Patna Dental College (government) and private colleges Mithila Minority Dental College and Hospital, Darbhanga, and Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Kankarbagh, Patna.
Read both the short Round 3 start notice and the detailed Round 3 advertisement on bceceboard.bihar.gov.in before paying fees.
Who can apply and who is barred
NEET MDS 2026 qualifiers who never registered, or who registered but did not complete application with counselling fee and security deposit against earlier PGDAC advertisements, and who are not admitted in any dental college in India, may seek Round 3 seats on the PGDAC-2026 rank derived from NEET MDS All India Rank.
Candidates who joined through All India Quota up to Round 3 counselling, or who finally took Round 1 or Round 2 PGDAC seats after document verification, are not eligible for Round 3. The board warns that names appearing on MCC weeding-out lists will be blocked from Round 3 allotment, and any Round 1 or Round 2 seat they still hold can be cancelled with forfeiture of the security deposit.
Virtual vacancies may open if Round 2 candidates upgrade, so eligible dentists should still fill choices even when the posted matrix looks thin. The updated Round 3 seat matrix is on the board site as PGDAC26_SM_R3.pdf. Check it again immediately before locking choices on 11 October.
Fees, locking and later dates
Non-refundable counselling or registration fee is Rs 2,200 for all categories. Refundable security deposit is Rs 25,000 for unreserved or EWS candidates and Rs 12,500 for SC, ST, BC, EBC or DQ candidates at government colleges, and Rs 1,00,000 for private colleges or for both government and private preferences. Pay only through the online gateway. If money leaves your account but the board does not show a credit by the due date, the form stays incomplete and you must repay as directed in the advertisement while seeking refund of the failed debit later.
After payment, fill and lock choices with OTP authentication sent to the mobile and email used in NEET MDS. Resignation or withdrawal from Round 1 or Round 2 with forfeiture is listed for 12 October. A reopening of consent with fresh payment for cancelled Round 1 or Round 2 seats is listed for 13 October, closing at 11:59 pm the same day.
Rank card publication is scheduled for 15 October. Choice locking for all eligible candidates closes at 2:00 pm on 16 October. Provisional Round 3 allotment appears on 17 October, download of the provisional allotment order runs from 17 to 19 October, and document verification with admission is set for 18 and 19 October 2026.
Dentists comparing state and national MDS tracks can also follow Dalimss coverage of MCC NEET MDS Round 3 registration from 3 October. PGDAC Round 3 is a Bihar board process and does not replace MCC AIQ steps. For the parallel undergraduate AIQ calendar, see also the MCC NEET UG Round 3 final allotment and reporting timeline. Keep NEET MDS admit card, scorecard, residential and caste certificates, and Aadhaar ready for the 18 and 19 October verification window if you are allotted.
Keep the PGDAC ID generated at registration confidential. The board says it will not be responsible for misuse if the password or OTP is shared, and all later allotment downloads depend on that login.
