Varanasi: A young IIT graduate from Kolkata arrived in Varanasi with a dream of becoming a lecturer at BHU. Before beginning his preparation, he decided to take a holy dip in the Ganga. However, the ritual nearly turned tragic when he drifted into deep waters and began drowning.

Fortunately, alert boatmen noticed the situation and acted quickly, rescuing him safely from the middle of the river. Their courage and presence of mind helped prevent a major tragedy.
