VARANASI — Renowned Bollywood veteran Boman Irani spent a deeply spiritual and culturally enriching two days in the ancient city of Varanasi, expressing profound admiration for its timeless heritage, vibrant street life, and radiant positive energy.

The actor’s visit marked a highly personal milestone, leaving him visibly moved by the unique atmosphere of the spiritual capital.

Sacred Darshan and Rituals

During his stay, the actor paid his respects at the world-famous Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Guided by temple priest Shrikant Mishra amidst the chanting of traditional Vedic mantras, Irani performed the sacred rituals and sought blessings for peace and prosperity.

While the actor had traveled to the city twice in the past, this trip marked a significant first for him: it was his very first time successfully offering prayers inside the inner sanctum of Baba Vishwanath's court. He described the opportunity to finally receive the deity's blessings after seven years as a deeply fortunate and rewarding experience.

Stepping off the beaten path, he extended his spiritual tour to the ancient Adi Keshav Temple—located at the scenic confluence of the Ganga and Varuna rivers—as well as the historic Lat Bhairav Temple.

Embracing the city's legendary culinary heritage, Irani also interacted extensively with local shopkeepers and residents. He sampled the city's signature Banarasi Tamatar Chaat (spiced tomato chaat), highly praising the distinct flavors that give the city's food culture its distinct identity.

An Overwhelming Spiritual Awakening

Reflecting on his experiences, the actor confessed that experiencing Kashi firsthand far exceeded anything he had previously anticipated.

"We have all heard so much about Kashi—its famous street food, the majesty of Baba Vishwanath, and the aura of the temples. But seeing it like this is completely different. The city is far more wonderful than I had ever imagined. Its spiritual energy, deep history, and the sheer warmth of the people make it an entirely unique experience that I am seeing through a fresh lens."
