Actor Aayush Sharma Praises Varanasi's Development and Cleanliness During Film Shoot at Chet Singh Fort

VARANASI — Bollywood actor Aayush Sharma has expressed immense admiration for the remarkable urban transformation and infrastructure development taking place in the historic city of Varanasi.
The actor, who is currently in the spiritual capital to shoot an upcoming action project, shared his observations during a break at the iconic Chet Singh Fort, highlighting how noticeably the city's landscape has improved over recent years.
A Visible Shift in Development and Cleanliness
Reflecting on his interactions with residents and his own time exploring the ghats, Sharma noted that the conversation on the ground points toward an unprecedented wave of modernization. Locals have told him that the holy city has witnessed significant developmental upgrades and a major overhaul in public cleanliness.
According to the actor, the ongoing changes under the Prime Minister's leadership have dramatically elevated the city's infrastructure while managing to preserve its ancient identity.
In particular, Sharma singled out the mega-transformation of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple area (the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project), calling it an exceptionally commendable feat of engineering and cultural preservation. The massive corridor project has famously reconnected the historic temple directly with the banks of the Ganga River, expanding walkways and drastically reducing congestion for visiting pilgrims.
Preserving a Global Center of Faith
Emphasizing Varanasi’s timeless position as one of the most critical centers of the Hindu faith, Sharma stated that the spiritual hub deserves meticulous management, long-term preservation, and absolute cleanliness.
"Kashi welcomes millions of devotees and international tourists from all across India and around the globe every single year," Sharma noted, emphasizing that maintaining robust infrastructure is essential to ensuring a dignified experience for those traveling to the sacred city.
The actor's presence along the riverfront has drawn crowds of local onlookers, spotlighting Varanasi's growing popularity as a premier destination for cinematic backdrops alongside its deep spiritual heritage.
