ACs Fail to Beat Heat as Varanasi Swelters Under Extreme Temperatures

Varanasi: Residents across Varanasi are facing an unusual problem amid the ongoing heatwave—air conditioners failing to provide adequate cooling during peak afternoon hours. As temperatures continue to soar, many households report that their AC units are struggling to function effectively despite running at full capacity.
According to locals, the issue is most noticeable between noon and late afternoon, when the heat reaches its peak. Even well-maintained air conditioners are unable to cool rooms sufficiently, leaving residents uncomfortable and frustrated.
Experts suggest that the extreme outdoor temperatures are significantly reducing the efficiency of cooling systems. When ambient heat rises beyond a certain level, AC units have to work much harder, often resulting in reduced performance.
