registering a case under the Gangster Act against two accused, Manjeet Chauhan and Anuj Singh. The action comes in connection with the murder of UP College student Surya Pratap Singh, who was killed on March 20 in the Shivpur area of Varanasi.

According to the police, both accused have a criminal history and are currently lodged in the district jail under judicial custody. Shivpur Police has alleged that the accused were involved in organized criminal activities and operated as part of a gang, leading to the invocation of the Gangster Act against them.

Police officials stated that the move is aimed at tightening legal action against the accused and curbing their alleged criminal activities. The investigation into the case remains ongoing, and further legal proceedings are underway. The development marks a major escalation in the high-profile murder case, which had drawn significant attention across Varanasi following the death of the college student.

Varanasi Police has taken a significant step in the UP College student murder case 

Acting on CCTV footage, police arrested the accused thief and two shopkeepers who allegedly purchased the stolen items. All three accused have been sent to jail.

The theft took place on April 24 at the Hanuman Temple of Shri Vidya Math in the Bhelupur area. Police recovered silver crowns, ornaments, and cash during the investigation.

According to officials, the gangs were involved in hacking bank accounts, sending fake APK files, operating SMS forwarding malware, creating fake websites of well-known brands, and carrying out large-scale cyber fraud across different states.

In one case, cyber criminals allegedly hacked a victim’s bank account and fraudulently withdrew over ₹8.38 lakh. Two accused were arrested from West Bengal, and police recovered cash, iPhones, Android phones, and other digital evidence.
