In a strong display of unity and enthusiasm, women in Varanasi organized a vibrant scooty rally in support of the proposed Nari Shakti Adhiniyam, highlighting the growing momentum for women’s empowerment in India. The rally, led by BJP Mahila Morcha workers, began from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University and witnessed the participation of a large number of women riders.
The event was flagged off by Rural Development Minister Vijayalakshmi Gautam, who encouraged women to play an active role in the democratic process and support initiatives aimed at their upliftment. The rally symbolized not just support for the bill but also a broader call for increased representation of women in governance.
Participants expressed their appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing the Nari Shakti Adhiniyam, which seeks to provide 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies. Many described the move as a historic step toward ensuring equal participation and strengthening women’s voices in decision-making.
The rally served as a powerful reminder of the changing socio-political landscape, where women are increasingly stepping forward to claim their space and rights. It also underscored a collective aspiration for inclusive governance and equal opportunities across all sectors.
