Woman Dies After Spade Attack In Mirzamurad; Villagers Stage Protest With Body, Demand Arrest

MIRZAMURAD: A 40-year-old woman, Sunita Patel, who was severely injured in a spade attack three days ago in Chitrasenpur village (Kachhwa Road), succumbed to her injuries early Monday morning at the BHU Trauma Centre.
The Incident & Death: • The incident occurred last Saturday when Sunita was attacked on her head with a spade by her neighbor Kuldeep Patel during a dispute over a path. • She was initially rushed to a local hospital and then referred to BHU Trauma Centre, where she died at 3 AM on Monday.
Protest & Demands: • After the post-mortem, when her body reached the village, angry family members and villagers placed it in front of the accused's house. • They staged a protest for three hours, alleging police negligence and demanding: Immediate arrest of the main accused, Kuldeep Patel. Compensation for the victim's family.
Administration's Response: • Officials, including SDM (Rajatalab) Shantun Kumar Sinsinwar and ACP (Rajatalab) Ajay Srivastava, reached the spot and pacified the crowd. • The protest ended after a written assurance regarding the arrest of the accused was given. • Heavy police and PAC force have been deployed in the village as a precautionary measure.
Police Action & Family: • Police have arrested two accused, Vikrama and Chandravati (parents of Kuldeep), and sent them to jail. A hunt is on for the main accused. • A case was initially registered for attempted murder, which will now be converted to a murder case. • The deceased leaves behind three young sons—Ishu (16), Priyanshu (12), and Gyanshu (11)—and an elderly mother-in-law.
