VDA Demolishes Illegal Construction In Bankat; Bulldozer Razes Walls Built Without Map Approval

The Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) cracked down on illegal construction in the Bankat Gram Sabha area under the Lohta police station on Monday.
The Action:Bulldozer Action: Around 12:00 PM, a VDA enforcement team accompanied by a JCB machine arrived at the site.
They demolished the boundary walls of a plot which, according to reports, belongs to a local businessman.
Reason: Officials stated that the construction was being carried out without getting the necessary map (Naksha) approved by the authority.
Official Statement: VDA officials clarified that the demolition was executed solely due to the lack of approved building plans.
They instructed the land owner to halt all work immediately and resume only after obtaining the required legal approvals and passing the map.
