Varanasi’s Khushi Singh Wins Silver and Bronze at National Muay Thai Championship 2026

VARANASI: Khushi Singh from Varanasi delivered an impressive performance at the 7th UMAI National Senior Muay Thai Championship 2026, winning one silver and one bronze medal. The championship was held in Hyderabad, Telangana, from January 22 to January 25, 2026, and witnessed participation from top senior athletes across the country.
Khushi Singh is the daughter of Tej Bahadur Singh and hails from Shrirampur Siyaraha village under Pindra block of Varanasi district. The national-level event was organized by the United Muay Thai Association of India (UMAI) in collaboration with the Telangana Amateur Muay Thai Association (TAMTA), with the aim of promoting Muay Thai martial arts and providing a competitive platform for senior players.
Athletes from various states competed across different weight categories, including WWC and WMC title fights. Khushi’s success is the result of her hard work, dedication, and rigorous training. Her achievement has brought pride not only to her family but also to her village and the entire Varanasi district.
Her journey stands as a strong message that girls from small villages can excel at the national level. Khushi Singh’s performance has emerged as a source of inspiration for young athletes aspiring to make their mark in sports.
