Varanasi: A motorcycle displaying the phrase “UGC Ka Baap” and operating without a number plate was seized by the police during a routine vehicle checking drive in the Cantt area of Varanasi. The incident occurred near Vikas Bhawan, where police teams were conducting inspections to enforce traffic rules and ensure road safety.

According to officials, the checking drive was carried out under the supervision of Station House Officer Shivakant Mishra. During the inspection, the motorcycle caught the attention of the police due to the unusual slogan written on it. Upon closer examination, officers found that the vehicle was running without a valid registration number plate, which is a clear violation of traffic regulations.

Taking immediate action, the police team intercepted the motorcycle and seized it on the spot. The vehicle was later taken to the police station for further verification and legal proceedings. Authorities stated that the identity of the motorcycle’s owner has not yet been confirmed.

The incident has generated considerable discussion among locals and on social media. While some people believe the slogan was meant to attract attention, others have expressed concern about the growing disregard for traffic rules and public safety.

Police officials reiterated that operating a vehicle without proper registration is a serious offence under traffic laws. They emphasized that strict action will continue to be taken against such violations to maintain discipline on the roads and ensure public safety.
