Three youths were arrested for attempting to steal aluminium gutters from Ganjari International Stadium in the Jansa police station area of Varanasi late Friday night.

According to Security Supervisor Manoj Kumar Singh, a resident of Sarangpur (Deipur), the incident took place around 12:30 am when three to four unidentified youths jumped over the stadium’s boundary wall and entered the premises. They allegedly removed aluminium gutters and threw them outside the boundary wall in an attempt to take them away later.

During routine rounds, the security team noticed the suspicious activity and increased surveillance in the area. The youths reportedly tried two to three times to remove the gutters but failed.

At around 5 am, the suspects returned on a motorcycle and attempted to take away the aluminium gutters again. This time, the security team surrounded them and managed to catch three individuals on the spot.

The arrested youths were identified as Sandeep Rajbhar, Azad Rajbhar, and Mukesh Rajbhar, residents of Harpur under Mirzamurad police station limits. Four aluminium gutters belonging to the stadium were recovered from their possession, and the motorcycle used in the attempted theft was also seized.
