Varanasi Man Files Case Against Meta AI After Getting Wrong Answers on Shiva-Parvati Marriage

A case has been filed against Meta AI in a court in Varanasi over allegations of providing incorrect information about Sanatan Dharma and Indian culture.
The complaint was submitted by former village head Nageshwar Mishra, a resident of Tilmapur in the Sarnath area. According to the petition filed through advocate Alakh Narayan Rai, the AI platform allegedly gave misleading responses when questions related to Sanatan Dharma and cultural traditions were asked.
The petitioner claimed that after initially raising objections, the platform apologized but again provided incorrect information when the questions were repeated. Upset by the responses, Mishra first approached police authorities, but when no action was taken, he moved the court.
The Judicial Magistrate (Second) heard the matter on Wednesday and sought a report from the Sarnath police regarding the allegations. The court has scheduled the next hearing for March 13.
