Varanasi: Several households in and around Varanasi are reportedly facing difficulties due to delayed delivery of LPG cylinders, with residents claiming that even after completing bookings, cylinders are not arriving within the expected time.

According to locals, the delay in supply has disrupted daily cooking routines in many homes. Families who depend primarily on LPG for preparing meals say they are being forced to look for alternative arrangements until the delivery system improves.

In some areas, households have started using traditional iron stoves and chulhas fueled by wood or coal. The situation is particularly noticeable in rural and semi-urban localities, where many women have temporarily returned to older cooking methods to manage daily food preparation.

Residents say that booking and delivery-related issues at certain gas agencies have added to the inconvenience. Some consumers claim that they are being asked to wait longer than usual after placing their orders, making it difficult to plan household cooking needs.
