Two Varanasi Harassment Complaints Registered in Lohta and Adampur

VARANASI: Police have registered separate cases following complaints of harassment in Lohta and Adampur, one involving an 18-year-old student on her way to school and the other alleging misconduct inside a family home. In the Lohta matter, the student alleged that a village resident made obscene gestures on the route to school and grabbed her hand. The local report identified the accused as Sagar Rajbhar. The second complaint was filed in the Adampur police-station area. A woman alleged that neighbour Vishal Mishra entered her home on August 26, misbehaved with her daughter, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, and grabbed the daughter-in-law's hand when the family objected. She further alleged that the man assaulted the father-in-law after the daughter-in-law raised an alarm. This, too, is the complainant's version pending investigation.
