Uttar Pradesh Weather Update: Dense Fog Reduces Visibility to Zero in Kanpur, Disrupts Traffic

LUCKNOW/VARANASI: A severe cold wave accompanied by dense fog has thrown normal life out of gear across Uttar Pradesh today. The blanket of fog has significantly impacted road and rail traffic throughout the state.
Visibility Report: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility levels plummeted this morning due to the thick fog:
Zero Visibility: Recorded in Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, and Kanpur.
Low Visibility (50-100m): Major cities including Lucknow, Varanasi, and Prayagraj struggled with very low visibility, forcing vehicles to move at a snail's pace with headlights on.
Impact: Commuters faced severe difficulties during the early hours. Highway traffic has slowed down considerably, and several trains are reportedly running late due to the poor visibility conditions.
