Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has opened a correction-only window for private candidates of the 2027 High School and Intermediate examinations. According to the revised schedule on the Parishad's private-candidate registration portal, school heads can amend details already uploaded from 1 October to 6 October 2026, up to midnight. No new candidate can be added in this period.

The portal page carries a notice dated 9 September 2026 for the 2027 examinations of Class 10 and Class 12 individual candidates, along with the revised dates. The Parishad's main website lists a separate revised timetable for institutional and private applications, dated 10 September.

The revised dates

The Parishad's table, which shows the new date against the old one, runs as follows for private candidates.

The last date for a head of institution to take admission and examination fee from a candidate stays at 5 August 2026. The lump-sum treasury challan for the fee moved from 10 August to 28 September. The last date for uploading the treasury details and each candidate's educational details on upmsp.edu.in moved from 16 August to 30 September, midnight.

Candidates who came in late with a fee of Rs 100 each had to deposit by 16 August and have the records uploaded by 20 August. The checking period, 21 to 31 August, is over. The correction window then opens on 1 October and closes on 6 October. It was earlier set for 1 to 10 September.

The final step is the submission of the photo list of registered candidates, with a copy of the treasury letter, at the office of the District Inspector of Schools. That date has moved from 30 September to 15 October 2026. The DIOS offices then pass the papers on to the Parishad's regional offices.

Who needs to act

This is mostly a school-side exercise, because the principal or head of the forwarding institution logs in with school credentials, and the page asks heads to get a wrong phone number or email address on the school profile updated through the DIOS. Students and parents have little to do on the portal. Their job is to read the printed checklist the school holds.

The details at stake are the ones the checklist itself names: the candidate's name, the mother's and father's names, date of birth, subjects and photograph. A candidate or parent who spots an error in any of them should tell the school well before 6 October, since only the head of the institution can change the entry.

The Parishad has also put the point of contact on the page. A help desk with three mobile numbers is listed at the bottom of the page.

Where Varanasi and the region stand

For schools in Varanasi, the photo list goes to the DIOS office in the district. Varanasi is also one of five regional offices of the Parishad, along with Meerut, Bareilly, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur, which handle later processing.

The portal page does not say what happens to a school that misses 6 October, and it gives no examination dates for 2027. Until then, heads of institutions should treat 6 October for corrections and 15 October for the photo list as fixed, and check the Parishad's website for any further revision.
