BENGALURU: Ultraviolette, the electric vehicle company best known for its F77 motorcycle, has put a radar-equipped scooter called Tesseract at the centre of its next phase. The company's Tesseract page lists three battery options, up to 261 km of claimed IDC range and a pre-booking facility, and says final variants and full specifications will be unlocked in the first quarter of 2027. Here is what the company publishes about the scooter and about the business behind it.

What the Tesseract page claims

Ultraviolette calls Tesseract India's first 100V scooter architecture. Higher system voltage is a design choice that can allow more power at lower current, and the company says the result is up to 15 kW of peak power, which it describes as nearly three times higher than conventional scooters in the segment, with charging twice as fast as the industry average. Those comparisons are the company's own, and it does not publish the test conditions on the page.

Three versions are listed. Tesseract 3.5 has a 3.5 kWh battery and a claimed IDC range of 162 km. Tesseract 5 has a 5 kWh battery and 220 km. Tesseract 6 has a 6 kWh battery and 261 km. IDC refers to the Indian Driving Cycle, so day-to-day range will vary. The page quotes up to 20 hp of power and says the battery pack comes with a warranty of up to 8 years or 2 lakh km.

The most distinctive feature is radar. The page describes a front radar that detects obstacles, a rear radar that tracks approaching vehicles, and a full-circle system it calls ARAS 360 Awareness, with alerts in the mirrors for blind spots. Other listed features include two traction control modes, four levels of regenerative braking, dual-channel ABS, HillHold and ParkAssist. Prices are not given, and deliveries are said to begin shortly after the Q1 2027 unlock.

The company and its funding

Ultraviolette says it was conceived in 2016 by founders Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan, and describes itself as an innovator in electric vehicle platforms and battery technology. Its press release of 4 December 2025 said it had secured $45 million as part of its ongoing Series E round, from Zoho Corporation and Lingotto. The release lists other backers including TDK Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, TVS Motors and Speciale Invest.

The same release said the company had expanded to 30 cities across India in 12 months and planned to reach 100 cities by mid-2026. It also said the F77 had launched in the United Kingdom, taking its presence to 12 countries across Europe. The release says the X-47 Crossover electric motorcycle had seen high demand, and names Shockwave and Tesseract as future product platforms.

The Tesseract page lists a customer helpline for queries and invites interested buyers to register their interest or pre-book. It also mentions keyless access and ample storage as everyday features. This report uses only what the company has published on its own site and does not include any later funding or manufacturing plans that are not stated in its releases.

For buyers, the main point is timing. Tesseract is a stated Q1 2027 product, so specifications and prices could still change. The figures here are the company's claims, and Dalimss News has not tested the scooter.
