UGC asks HEIs to file ABSS 2026 activity reports on UAMP by 15 Sep

The University Grants Commission has asked higher educational institutions to upload consolidated reports of their Decentralised Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2026 activities on the University Activity Monitoring Portal by 15 September 2026. The letter is D.O. No. F.1-1/2026(NEP-ABSS), dated 2nd September, 2026, also printed as 11 Bhadra, 1948. It is signed by Prof. Shyama Rath, Secretary, UGC, and was published on ugc.gov.in on 08.09.2026. The local one-page PDF is pdfs/ugc-abss-08sep.pdf.

ABSS is organised every year in July to commemorate the anniversary of the launch of the National Education Policy 2020 and to review progress on its implementation. The Secretary notes that institutes must have organised various activities during July 2026 on the sixth anniversary of NEP 2020, with the objective of strengthening awareness, participation and ownership of the ongoing educational reforms. College IQAC or NEP cells that ran July programmes should treat the VC or Director office as the sign-off path before the UAMP upload. The letter does not print a fee, a template filename, or a penalty clause. It does print a clear portal and a clear date.

Desk readers should keep three mid-September UGC tracks apart. This ABSS D.O. asks for activity reports of July 2026 decentralised Samagam events on UAMP by 15 September.
