Two Varanasi Chefs Reunite for a Nostalgic Culinary Experience at Café Kafusa

Two old school friends, two chefs, and two very different culinary journeys are coming together in Varanasi for a unique dining experience titled “The Old School Table.”

The special brunch-lunch event will be hosted at Café Kafusa, Varanasi, on Sunday, 12th July, from 12:30 PM onwards. Designed as an intimate experience, the event will have only 15 seats, making it a limited and personal gathering for food lovers.

The experience brings together Chef Palak of Burning Wok, who has been a finalist on Ultimate HomeChef of India and winner of Lee Kum Kee MasterChef, along with Chef Mohit Ramrakhyani, The HousePartyChef, known for bringing global culinary experiences and flavours to the table.

The concept of The Old School Table is built around memories of school days, nostalgic stories, and familiar flavours served with a modern twist. The event promises a 6+ course brunch menu, personal storytelling, keepsakes, surprises, and a curated dining experience that blends emotion with food.

Chef Mohit Ramrakhyani, a Varanasi-based fusion chef and hospitality entrepreneur, is associated with ventures including Kafusa, The House Party Chef, and Travelling Troopers Homestay. His culinary journey includes professional training and experience with hospitality brands in India and abroad.

With the theme “Nostalgic stories. Nostalgic flavours. Modern food.”, the event aims to take guests back to their school memories while offering them a fresh and creative dining experience.

Bookings for the limited-seat event are being taken through direct messages. Only 15 seats are available, making it a close-table experience for those who want food, memories, and storytelling on the same plate.
