GURUGRAM: Udyog Vihar is mostly known as a place people drive to for work, but one of its quieter addresses is a low-rise hotel set in gardens. Trident Gurgaon sits at 443 Udyog Vihar Phase V, close to the NH 48 side of the city. This guide sets out what the hotel's own pages say about its four places to eat and drink, their hours, and which parts of the property are kept for staying guests, as read on 8 October 2026.

The hotel describes itself as spread over almost 30,000 square metres of landscaped gardens, with courtyards and reflection pools, and says it has a resort-like feel despite being in a business district. Its FAQ puts it about 12 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport, around a 15-minute drive, and 28 km from the railway station. It also says DLF Cyber City and CyberHub are a short drive away, not a walk, which is worth knowing for anyone planning to hop between the two in an evening.

There are four dining venues on the hotel's dining page. Two are restaurants, Cilantro and Saffron, and two are bars, Lyrah and The Bar. The overview also mentions a Pool Bar, but it has no page of its own, and since the FAQ limits the pool to resident guests, outside visitors should not plan around it. Each restaurant and bar page carries the hotel's reservation line and a table request form.

The hotel also hosts a lot of private events, which shapes how busy its restaurants feel. Its FAQ says the meeting and event spaces, a boardroom, banquet and conference halls and outdoor lawns, can take up to 170 guests, and it lists private celebrations alongside team offsites and product launches. The hotel also says it uses solar power as part of its sustainability work. If a quiet table outdoors matters, it is worth asking whether a function is booked on the lawns that evening.

Cilantro is the all-day restaurant and keeps the longest hours, 7 am to 11 pm. The hotel says its menu draws on the Indian subcontinent, the Mediterranean and South-East Asia, and that the kitchen will adjust spice levels on request. The page describes the dining room as sitting under a crimson dome. It is pitched for breakfasts, business lunches and family dinners, according to the hotel's own description.

Saffron is the hotel's Indian restaurant and opens only for dinner, from 7 pm to 11 pm. The page says the menu takes in dishes from Punjab, Kashmir, Rajasthan and old Delhi, recipes linked to the Mughal courts and dishes from the kitchens of the Nawabs of Lucknow. The page summary mentions an Awadhi biryani cooked on dum in a dough-sealed handi. Saffron's page does not list prices, and this guide does not quote any.

The two bars, and what is kept for hotel guests

Lyrah-Alfresco Bar is the open-air option, set in a garden corner of the property and open to the sky. It runs from 6 pm to midnight. According to the hotel, its cocktail list takes its theme from a sky atlas, with drinks named Horizon Line, Orion Belt and Totality Old Fashion, served with a snacks menu. The page says there is live music during the week and a DJ on weekends.

The Bar is the indoor lounge and opens earlier, from 11 am to 10:30 pm. The hotel's page lists alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with light snacks, aimed at afternoons and evenings with family or friends. Like the other venues, its page does not publish a price list, so anyone planning a meal or a drink should ask for the current menu when they reserve.

The reservation forms come with one rule worth noting. For tables of more than eight people, or for bookings within the next 24 hours, the hotel asks diners to call it directly. A notice on the site on 8 October also said the chain's central reservation phone lines were facing a temporary disruption and asked people to email instead. That notice concerns room bookings, but it suggests checking that the restaurant line is working before a big night.

Several facilities are not open to walk-in visitors. The FAQ says the Trident Spa, the outdoor swimming pool and the 24-hour fitness centre are only for resident guests. The spa page lists hours of 9 am to 9:30 pm and the pool sunrise to sunset. Pets are not permitted anywhere in the hotel. For staying guests, check-in is at 2 pm and check-out at noon, with early or late timings subject to availability.

A few details on the site do not quite line up, so readers should treat them with care. The FAQ says the 136 rooms and suites come in five categories but then names six. An older notice about the pool being closed from 1 to 12 September was still showing on 8 October. None of this affects the dining hours above, but it is a reminder that hotel pages are not always updated at the same pace.

For a wider evening in this part of the city, this site has a guide to the restaurants and bars at The Oberoi Gurgaon, a short drive away in the same district, a directory of dining at DLF CyberHub, and a plan for an evening out by Rapid Metro around CyberHub.
