TN adds names to Super Speciality provisional rank list

CHENNAI: The Selection Committee under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research has issued an addendum to the provisional rank list for eligible candidates of Super Speciality (DM/MCh) courses for the 2025-2026 session. The PDF posted on tnmedicalselection.net carries a 25 September 2026 file stamp (news/25092026044845.pdf) and lists additional Medical Group candidates with application numbers, names and All India Quota ranks.

The addendum continues the provisional rank table from rank 37 onwards for the Medical Group, pairing each State application number with the corresponding AIQ rank. Doctors whose names appear only in this addendum, and not in the earlier provisional list, should treat the new sheet as the document that brings them into the eligible pool for the ongoing Tamil Nadu Super Speciality process.

Why the list matters this week

Tamil Nadu's tentative stray round counselling for Super Speciality (DM/MCh) courses in government medical colleges for in-service candidates is scheduled from 26 to 28 September 2026, as already notified by the Selection Committee. An expanded provisional rank list issued on 25 September sits immediately before that window. Newly listed candidates should cross-check their application number, AIQ rank and category against the addendum before they attempt registration or choice steps on the Super Speciality portal.

The addendum itself does not reprint the full stray round timetable. Candidates still need the earlier stray round schedule notice and the stray vacancy position PDF on the same website. In-service doctors should also watch whether seats revert to the All India MCC Special Stray matrix after 28 September, as MCC has separately flagged that possibility in its 25 September Super Speciality notice.

Download the 25 September addendum PDF from tnmedicalselection.net and search for your application number. If you are newly included, keep the PDF with your NEET SS scorecard and service documents. Helpline and grievance routes, where published on the same site, should be used for mismatches between the addendum and your login data.

Do not assume that an AIQ rank alone equals a State seat. Tamil Nadu Super Speciality allotment for government colleges in this session remains tied to in-service rules, NEET SS eligibility including any percentile relaxation notified for the stray process, and the vacancy position published for the stray round. Read the addendum together with the stray schedule and vacancy PDFs before you travel for reporting.

The Selection Committee remains the admission authority for government and government-quota seats named on tnmedicalselection.net. Keep local copies of every PDF dated 24 and 25 September that mentions Super Speciality, because the stray window is only three days long.
