Do not treat this as the Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) form. The Selection Committee’s other 28 August prospectus is for fourteen one-year Post Basic Diploma specialities, Diploma in Nursing completed candidates only, into Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges. Date of Notification: 28-08-2026. Uploading started 28-08-2026 at 12:10 pm. Last date: 02-09-2026 up to 5:00 pm. Application processing fee is Rs.300 — not Rs.400 — via bank portal; SC / SCA / SCC / ST are exempted. Merit and tentative allotment: will be intimated later. Last date of admission: the date on the allotment order.

Fourteen one-year specialities, service date 30-06-2026

The cover names: Post Basic Diploma in Critical Care Speciality Nursing; Neonatal Nursing; Psychiatry Nursing; Gerontology Nursing (PBDGN); Hematology Speciality Nursing (PBDHN); Oncology Nursing (PBDON); Palliative Care Speciality Nursing (PBDPCSN); Cardiothoracic Speciality Nursing (PBDCSN); Burns and Reconstructive Surgery Speciality Nursing (PBDBSN); Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Speciality Nursing (PBDO&RSN); Paediatric Speciality Nursing (PBDPSN); Emergency and Disaster Speciality Nursing (PBDE&DSN); Operation Room Nursing (PBDORN); Neurology Nursing (PBDNN). Each is printed as a one-year course.

Eligibility unique to this diploma file: G.O.(D) No.943, one-year speciality, application fee Rs.300, service of one year as on 30-06-2026. Age evidence is as on 31 December 2026: no ceiling for non-service candidates; service candidates should not have completed 50 years. The nativity test is in the prospectus; this copy does not restack the 8th-to-12th school line from the two-year degree file.

Service is the other split from the B.Sc. file. Regular Tamil Nadu Medical Service candidates need one year of continuous regular service as on 30-06-2026 for Post Basic Diploma, excluding leave other than casual and compensatory leave — not the two years / 31-05-2026 line in the B.Sc. prospectus. Approved probationers in local bodies: one year as on 30-06-2026. Service candidates join on deputation; the one-year course “will be treated as in-service for all practical purposes.” Incomplete forms rejected. No late upload after 5:00 pm on 2 September.

Printed college tables, merit, government-college fee

Merit: Diploma in Nursing marks to a base of 90 plus experience marks for 10, aggregate 100. One mark per completed year of experience as on 30-06-2026 from the last date of the month of passing Diploma in Nursing, cap 10. Inter-se: least appearances in the final-year Diploma in Nursing examination; then Psychiatry / Midwifery marks; then seniority in age. Counselling processing fee later: Rs.250.

Printed examples, not a desk total of all fourteen tables: Critical Care (G.O. (D) No.916, 06.08.2025, 50% service / 50% non-service) lists 20 seats each at five government colleges including the Tamil Nadu Government Institute of Advanced Nursing Science and Research, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Theni, Salem and Madurai — printed total 100. Neonatal under that G.O. prints 40 at Chennai and Chengalpattu, plus a later table of 20 at Madurai. Psychiatry prints 10 at the Institute of Mental Health. Later specialities under G.O. (Ms.) No.499 and 506, 29.10.2025 / 31.10.2025, use 75% service / 25% non-service. This desk is not adding the tables into one statewide number.

Tuition at government colleges: Rs.15,000 per year (printed “will be for development of faculty”) plus other fees Rs.5,000 per year. SC / SCA / ST exempted from tuition. 5% of government-college seats are reserved for Differently Abled; locomotor disability of lower extremity 40% to 50% alone is considered.
