Tamil Nadu extends PG Allied Health Science applications till 23 September night

CHENNAI: Candidates who were still uploading documents for Tamil Nadu postgraduate Allied Health Science seats have one more calendar day. The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Kilpauk, issued Notification No. 1042/SCSII(1)/2026 on 22 September 2026 and extended the online application window up to 23 September 2026 at 11:59 PM.

The notice says many representations came in from candidates. After considering those requests, the Committee reopened the clock for a defined list of PG Allied Health Science courses for the 2026-2027 session. The extension is not an open-ended grace period. It ends tonight, so incomplete profiles need to be finished inside the portal rather than parked for another weekday.

Courses covered by the extension

The notification lists Master of Physiotherapy (M.P.T), Master of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, Master of Occupational Therapy (M.O.T), Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics, M.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology, Master of Optometry (M. Optom), Master of Medical Laboratory Science, M.Sc Molecular Virology, M.Sc Critical Care Technology and M.Sc Neuro Surgical Care.

Several of those programmes already had prospectus pages and earlier application windows on tnmedicalselection.net. The 22 September notice does not rewrite fee tables or seat matrices. It only stretches the receipt of online applications to the new midnight cut-off. Applicants should still follow the prospectus rules for each course on eligibility, service certificates, and document formats.

What to do before 11:59 PM tonight

Start from the official Selection Committee site and the PG paramedical registration links published there. Upload clear scans, check that names match NEET or qualifying certificates where required, and submit rather than leaving a draft. Payment gateways can slow near closing time, so fee completion should not be left to the last minutes.

Candidates who already submitted a complete form do not need to re-apply unless the portal asks for a correction. Those who were waiting for a college Leaving Certificate, internship completion proof or community certificate should use the extra hours carefully. The Committee has not promised a second extension in this notice.
