Threat Messages Surface After Iftar Boat Case in Varanasi, Complaint Filed by Rajat Jaiswal

Varanasi: Tension has escalated in Varanasi after Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha leader Rajat Jaiswal reported receiving death threats on social media.
Jaiswal had earlier filed an FIR regarding an Iftar gathering held on a boat in the Ganga, where non-vegetarian food was allegedly served and waste thrown into the river. Following his complaint, police arrested 14 individuals, who were later sent to judicial custody after their bail plea was rejected by the court.
After the arrests, Jaiswal claims he has been facing continuous threats online, including warnings of possible mob violence. He has lodged a fresh complaint at the Sigra police station, seeking protection for himself and his family.
According to police officials, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law, and cyber activity linked to the threats is being examined. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those found responsible.
