GURUGRAM: For many people in this city, swimming depends on having a pool in their housing society or club, which leaves a gap for anyone without one, or anyone who wants to keep swimming as the weather cools. Champions Aquatics Academy runs public swimming and coaching at two pools in Gurugram, one of them described as all-weather. This guide sets out what the academy's own website lists about its pools, timings, batches and fees, as read on the morning of 8 October 2026.

The academy says it has three locations across Gurugram and Bahadurgarh. The two in Gurugram are an Olympic-size pool in Sector 75, Hasanpur, and a pool at St. Xavier's High School in Rosewood City, Sector 49. The third, in HL City, Bahadurgarh, is outside the district. The visit page says the Sector 75 and Bahadurgarh pools are built to international standards and suit both competitive training and recreational swimmers.

The Sector 75 pool keeps two sessions a day, according to the visit page. The morning session runs from 6 am to 11 am and the afternoon session from 3 pm to 7 pm, and the pool takes a weekly day off on Wednesdays. For people living along the Southern Peripheral Road and the sectors around Hasanpur, it is the nearer of the two.

The Sector 49 pool at St. Xavier's High School is the academy's first location. The site describes it as an all-weather pool of half-Olympic size, designed so that training can carry on through the year. It is open Monday to Saturday from 5 pm to 7 pm, a much shorter window than Sector 75, which makes it more of an after-school and after-work option.

The recreational programme is the route most casual swimmers will use. The academy says it is open to swimmers of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced swimmers working on their technique, and that classes run from basic water safety to stroke development under its instructors. The about page says it keeps class sizes small, which is the academy's own description.

What the membership plans cost

Fees are published on the recreational programme page. As of 8 October 2026, 8:58 am IST, a monthly plan is listed at Rs 3,000 for an individual, Rs 5,500 for a couple and Rs 10,000 for a family. A quarterly plan is Rs 7,500 for an individual, Rs 15,000 for a couple and Rs 25,000 for a family. There is also a per-hour rate of Rs 300.

A six-month plan appears on the same page at Rs 17,500 for an individual, Rs 26,000 for a couple and Rs 42,000 for a family, but it is marked as currently suspended, so it cannot be bought at the moment. The page defines a family as four members, two parents and two children, and repeats that the facility is closed on Wednesdays. Terms and conditions apply, according to the page.

The arithmetic is worth a minute. On the listed figures, the quarterly individual plan works out to Rs 2,500 a month, Rs 500 less than paying monthly. The monthly family plan comes to Rs 2,500 a person for a family of four, and the quarterly family plan to a little over Rs 2,080 a person each month. At Rs 300 an hour, ten visits in a month would cost the same as the monthly individual plan, so occasional swimmers may find the hourly rate simpler.

One thing the site does not make clear is which pool these plans cover. The fees appear on a programme page rather than a location page, and there is no note on whether the same rates apply at Sector 75 and Sector 49, or whether a plan can be used at both. Anyone choosing between the two pools should ask the academy before paying.

The website also leaves out several practical details a first-time visitor will want to know. It does not set out pool rules on swimwear or caps, whether lockers and showers are available, whether lifeguards are on duty during recreational sessions, or the youngest age accepted. These are reasonable questions to put to the academy on the phone, especially for parents of young children.

For children and teenagers who want to race, there is a separate competitive programme with three batches. The site describes Bubble Buddies as the starting group, where swimmers learn to float, blow bubbles and get comfortable in the water. Dolphin Dashers focuses on technique and stroke form, and the Sharks Squad works on speed, endurance and strength for swimmers aiming at competitions. The academy says the programme also includes physiotherapy, nutrition counselling and strength sessions. No fees are listed for the competitive batches.

There is one dated note on the site. The visit page says that in 2025 the Bahadurgarh centre would host the 41st Sub Junior National Aquatic Championship, written as a future event. It has not been updated, which is a reminder to confirm the current timings, batch openings and fees by phone before the first visit. The site lists a phone number and email for enquiries.

For other ways to stay active in the city as the weather turns, this site has a guide to indoor climbing at M3M 65th Avenue, a directory of pilates studios in Gurugram, and an explainer on safer running habits for those who prefer the roads.
