Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Darshan Timings Revised on March 3 Due to Lunar Eclipse

Varanasi: An important update has been issued for devotees planning to visit the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple on March 3, 2026 (Tuesday). The temple administration has announced a temporary revision in darshan timings due to the lunar eclipse occurring on Phalguna Purnima of Vikram Samvat 2082.
According to the official statement released by the temple trust, the shrine will remain closed during the eclipse period in accordance with traditional religious customs and established rituals. As per practice, the temple doors will be shut for devotees one and a half hours before the eclipse begins.

Temple Doors Close: 4:30 PM (March 3)
Temple Reopens: Around 7:15 PM, after completion of purification rituals and post-eclipse prayers
Following the conclusion of the eclipse, customary purification and religious procedures will be conducted before reopening the temple for public darshan.
