The railway administration has extended the cancellation period of several key passenger trains connecting Uttar Pradesh and Bihar due to operational difficulties and technical reasons. According to an official release issued by the Public Relations Department of North Eastern Railway, Varanasi, a total of six passenger trains will remain off the tracks until mid-February.

The sudden cancellation of these trains is expected to cause inconvenience to daily commuters, students, and small traders who depend on these services for regular travel. Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the status of their trains through official enquiry numbers or the National Train Enquiry System before heading to the station.

As per the notification, Gorakhpur Cantt–Varanasi City Passenger (15129) will remain cancelled from February 2 to February 16, while Varanasi City–Gorakhpur Cantt Passenger (15130) will not operate from February 1 to February 15.
