NEW DELHI: The realme P4s Lite, a 4G phone built around a 7000mAh battery, is listed on Flipkart at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model and Rs 16,999 for 4GB and 128GB (price as of 8 October 2026, 1:25 AM IST). Flipkart shows struck-through MRPs of Rs 29,999 and Rs 33,999, but those figures are not a useful guide to what the phone is worth.

That puts the P4s Lite in the busy Rs 15,000 bracket, where most rivals now offer 5G. This one does not, and that is the first thing to understand before buying.

What realme lists on its spec sheet

According to realme's official P4s Lite specifications page, the phone uses a Unisoc T7250 chip with a Mali-G57 GPU, LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage, with a microSD card slot for more space. The 17.15cm (6.75-inch) LCD runs at HD+ resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels and refreshes at up to 120Hz. realme quotes 700 nits typical brightness and 900 nits in high brightness mode, with Panda MN228 glass on top.

The battery is the selling point. realme lists 7000mAh as the typical value and 6820mAh as the rated value, with 15W charging. On its product page, realme says the battery will keep more than 80% of its capacity after six years, based on its own lab simulation of one full charge every 1.3 days. It also promises a 36-month fluency guarantee.

The cameras are basic: a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP front camera, with video recording up to 1080p at 30fps. The phone has Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IP64 rating for dust and splashes. There is no NFC. It comes in Nebula Black and Moonlight Silver, weighs 215g and is 9mm thick.

Software includes Google Gemini built in, which realme highlights on its product page, and realme also claims military-grade shock resistance based on its own testing. The display figures are respectable for the price. A 120Hz screen makes scrolling smoother, and 900 nits in high brightness mode should be readable outdoors, though the HD+ resolution means text will look softer than on a Full HD panel.

Storage is the other choice to get right. With 64GB, a year of WhatsApp photos and videos can fill the phone quickly, even with a memory card. The 128GB model costs Rs 2,000 more at current Flipkart prices, and for most people that is money well spent.

realme also adds a few battery extras on its product page, including a Super Power Saving Mode meant to keep the phone connected when the charge drops to 1%, and an AI long-life algorithm that it links to its six-year battery health claim. As with any lab-based promise, real results will depend on how you use the phone.

Who should consider it

The 15W charging is the obvious weak spot. A 7000mAh battery at 15W will take a long time to fill from empty, so this is a phone you charge overnight. If you are out all day and rarely near a charger, the trade makes sense. If you top up in short bursts, it will frustrate you.

The missing 5G matters less than it sounds for some buyers. If you mostly use WhatsApp, YouTube and calls, and you live in an area where 4G is strong, the P4s Lite will do the job. If you want a phone to last four or five years, though, 5G is worth paying for now. Xiaomi's Redmi 17C 5G, which went on sale on 7 October, is the obvious alternative, and we covered its specs and sale details this week.

One more thing to check is the battery figure itself. Brands increasingly quote a "typical" capacity alongside a lower "rated" one, and our explainer on typical vs rated battery capacity explains why the gap exists.

Flipkart's sale calendar also matters. Prices on budget phones tend to shift during big sale events, so check our Big Billion Days early access guide before you pay, and compare the final checkout price, after any card discount, with what you see today.
