The University of Kota has released admit cards for the Rajasthan State Eligibility Test 2026, giving registered candidates access to their centre and reporting details ahead of the examination on Sunday, 13 September.

The hall ticket is available through the Rajasthan recruitment portal and the state's Single Sign-On system. The test is scheduled from 11 am to 2 pm. Candidates should download the admit card well before the weekend and rely on the time and venue printed on their individual document.

SET is an eligibility examination connected with the recruitment of assistant professors in the state. An admit card confirms that a registered applicant can present for the test; it is not an appointment letter or proof of eligibility for a particular vacancy. Universities and recruiting bodies can apply their own academic and selection requirements after a candidate qualifies.

Check the centre before planning the journey

Four days may look sufficient, but the most useful action is to inspect the hall ticket now. Candidates should confirm their name, photograph, subject, roll number, centre address and reporting instructions. A centre in an unfamiliar part of a city deserves a route check during normal travel hours, not only a pin saved on a phone.

Applicants using the recruitment portal should follow the admit-card link and enter the requested credentials. Those downloading through SSO should sign in to the account used during the application process and locate the relevant recruitment service. A legible copy should be retained offline, because a portal or mobile-data problem on the morning of the examination will not change the reporting deadline.

The test runs for three hours in a single scheduled sitting. Candidates should read the official scheme for paper structure and marking rather than infer it from another state's SET or an older Rajasthan cycle. The University of Kota's 2026 notice and the instructions attached to the admit card are the appropriate references for permitted material, identity proof and conduct inside the centre.

A professional gateway, with conditions beyond the score

State eligibility tests occupy a specific place in higher-education recruitment. Qualifying can establish eligibility for assistant-professor posts under the rules that apply, but an employing university or college still conducts its own recruitment and verifies academic records, category documents and other conditions. Candidates should resist advertisements that present SET qualification as an automatic job offer.

That distinction also matters on exam day. The immediate objective is to sit the examination correctly; debates about cut-offs and recruitment prospects can wait until the official answer-key and result stages. Unofficial predictions circulated before the paper have no bearing on the instructions issued by the University.

If a candidate finds an error or cannot access the admit card, the issue should be raised promptly through the official contact mechanism. A message on social media may show that others have the same difficulty, but it does not create a record with the examination authority. Screenshots of an error and the time of the attempt can support a formal query.

Candidates should also separate the admit card from the application form in their files. Both may contain similar particulars, but only the document designated for the examination should be presented as the hall ticket. The original photo identity document specified in the instructions should be kept ready alongside it.

The release marks the end of the registration phase and the beginning of exam-day preparation. Between now and 13 September, the sound checklist is short: download, verify, print, map the centre, read the current instructions and arrive according to the reporting time. That is more valuable than repeatedly refreshing unofficial update pages.
