Email will not do. If you want to object to Punjab’s Round 1 MBBS/BDS allotment, you have to walk into the Admission Branch at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, today. The revised first-round schedule, dated 25 August 2026 and signed by the Registrar, puts “last date for submission of objections, if any, to the Provisional Seat Allotment” on 28 August 2026. “Objections shall be accepted only through personal appearance in the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, along with supporting documents. Objections submitted through e-mail or any other electronic mode shall not be entertained.”

The list being objected to is on the MBBS/BDS admission page, dated 27-08-2026: “Provisional allotment of MBBS/BDS Seats in 1st Round of Counselling under NEET UG 2026.” The PDF itself prints Date: 27.08.2026 under Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. This desk opened that file. It is live.

What the 27 August list says — and does not

The header is “Provisional Allotment of MBBS/BDS Seats in the 1st Round of Online Counselling, Session 2026, Based on the Merit of Candidates and Their Preferences for College, Category and Quota.” A disclaimer sits above the table: the allotment is purely provisional. If a candidate applied for MBBS/BDS session 2026 under the State Quota of more than one State/UT other than Punjab, “his/her provisional allotment shall be liable to be cancelled without any further notice.”

Columns include merit number, course, NEET roll number, name, allotted college, allotted quota and allotted category. Government Medical College, Patiala and Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana appear in the opening government-open rows. This desk is not publishing a seat count or a closing rank from that table.

Choice filling on the revised timetable ran 16 August to 23 August 2026, up to 5:00 pm. That window is closed. Today is not a second preference day.

The Government of Punjab’s 10 July 2026 MER-II notification authorised BFUHS to counsel MBBS and BDS in government and private institutes, including private universities and minority institutions, on NEET merit, for all seats except All India Quota. That is who this objection day is for. A call to the helpline listed on bfuhs.ac.in (01639-256232) is not personal appearance. Bring the supporting documents the 25 August notice asks for.

29 August, then 30 August to 5 September

If objections filed in person today change anyone’s row, the university will display a revised provisional allotment, “if any,” on 29 August 2026. If your name is already right, 29 August is still the day to check that nothing moved.

Physical reporting by provisionally allotted candidates is 30 August to 5 September 2026 at the respective colleges. The revised schedule lists what that visit is for: verification of original documents, medical examination where applicable, completion of admission formalities, and payment of six months’ tuition fee through the University Online Payment Gateway available in the candidate’s login. That gateway is not a cash counter at Faridkot on 28 August.

The older dates on the same table — provisional on 22 August, objections till 3:00 pm on 23 August, revised list on 24 August, reporting 25–28 August — are struck by the 25 August revision. The revised objections line does not print a closing hour, only the calendar date 28 August 2026. Do not borrow 3:00 pm from the old column.

The MBBS/BDS notice board at admission.bfuhsonline.ac.in/mbbs_bds/mbbsbds.asp is the page this desk used. bfuhs.ac.in is the university home. Login for fee and further candidate-level detail remains the counselling login linked from that notice board. Walk in today only if you have a document-backed objection. Otherwise keep 30 August–5 September free for the college, not for Faridkot.
